I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in vain.’ Isaiah 45:19

I’m definitely not there today (working) but thought I’d give it a shout out due to the day’s perfect beach conditions.
I’m so glad I serve a God who “richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment” (1 Timothy 6:17), including delightfully sunny days accented with warm breezes gloriously dancing around you. :)
Permalink I took this picture passing an antique store on the way to work yesterday. It’s cool because, aside from color corrections, it’s totally unedited-no elements blended or photoshopped in. You can’t really tell if you’re looking at the clock in the window or the tree reflected in the glass. In the reflection, you can’t separate the subject from it’s fronting reality.
I started thinking about how the Bible says we reflect the Lord’s glory…and how Jesus prayed that we’d be ONE with Him. It gave me a whole new perspective on oneness. I want my life, in accordance with Scripture-to be like this picture. That you can’t really tell what you’re looking at. At first glance, it’s just a college student, but then there’s so much of Jesus in there it’s like you’re face to face with Him. Then you’re like no wait-it really is just a college student. But there’s just so much that looks like Jesus-His characteristics, His nature, His Word, His truth…which is it?
Our lives should make people wonder-not just that they may discern our identity, but that upon recognition of it, they may seek and find the One who defines it. I want to be one with Jesus. I want, through the freedom that comes from the Holy Spirit, to have an unveiled face, and live a reflection of Christ.
“But when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:16-18
“…just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.” -Jesus, John 17:22-23
